The KonMari Method®
The KonMari Method is the Japanese art of decluttering and organizing. Created by Marie Kondo, it moves away from traditional advice to get rid of things. Instead, it encourages intentionally keeping the items that bring you joy or serve a practical purpose.
The Process
Keeping What You Love
Before you begin tidying up, take time to imagine the kind of life you want to lead. The question of what you want to own is actually the question of how you want to live your life. Instead of deciding what to get rid of, focus on items that spark joy, speak to your heart, and support your ideal lifestyle.
This approach focuses on organizing by category instead of by room or location. It provides a clear view of how much you own and helps break the clutter cycle. We go through your home in this order:
1. Clothes
2. Books
3. Papers
4. Komono (miscellaneous items), such as hobby and kitchen items
5. Sentimental items
The Principles
6 Rules of Tidying
To achieve a home that supports your lifestyle, there are six foundational rules:
1. Commit yourself to tidying thoroughly
2. Imagine your ideal lifestyle
3. Finish discarding first
4. Tidy by category, not by location
5. Follow the right order
6. Ask yourself if it sparks joy
A Guided Experience

As a Certified KonMari Consultant, I provide the knowledge, structure, and objective perspective throughout the process. I help you sharpen your sensitivity to joy and build confidence, one decision at a time. Unlike services that focus on quick decluttering or a specific aesthetic, this is an investment of your time and energy that teaches you a valuable lifelong skill.
